Getting Fit Friday- Healthy Teachers Linky Party!

Well, I have made it through almost my whole first week of eating clean and doing The 21-Day Fix.  I love them both!

Eating clean is SO filling... it's crazy!  I haven't noticed any major changes in my sleep or energy, but it's only been a few days, so I'm hoping those things are coming.

Here are some of the foods I've eaten this week...

This one is my favorite... using the containers for 21-Day Fix, I can make this HUGE burrito and it tastes amazing!  It is the veggie container with peppers and pico, the red of ground turkey (which I added seasonings too), the blue of avocado, and a whole wheat tortilla (yellow).  I did sneak on 1 teaspoon of shredded cheese and a tiny smear of sour cream.  It's so tasty and insanely filling!

I loved this one too... chicken, mashed potato, and broccoli.  I cooked the broccoli with a splash of chicken stock, garlic, and pepper.  The potato is just half of a potato mashed up with a tiny tiny drop of butter and a splash of low-fat milk.  And the chicken has garlic and pepper on it as well.  This meal was so yummy!

Here's this week's menu:

This week I know I'll be having lunch out a few times, so I'll be on "eating as clean as possible" mode on those days!

And the exercising... the 21-Day Fix is a beast!  The workouts are only 30-minutes but it is a packed workout that goes by so quickly!  You start, you work your tail off, and then it's over!  I love them!

I hope you'll link up below and share your healthy plan for the coming week!

New 3rd Grade Math "Show What You Know" Pack!

This week I finished another "Show What You Know" review pack... this one is for 3rd grade math!

It's $1 off until I get a new one listed.

Click the pic to check it out on TpT.  I'm very excited about it... it reviews a TON of 3rd grade CCSS standards in an easy format that won't take a ton of time for students to complete.  Every 3rd week incorporates writing... by having students explain a math error, tell more about their own thinking, explain or describe processes, etc...

The preview file contains the first three weeks for free too!!!

Healthy Summer... Here I Come! {Healthy Teachers Linky}

Happy Thursday, bloggy friends!  I don't often do "me" posts on here, but I wanted to share with you what I'm going to be doing... share with me too!  Let's keep each other accountable!

This has been an odd year for me, for sure.  I shared a few months ago that I am no longer married, and I've been looking for something to do this summer... something productive that I can pour time and energy in to.  This is my first summer where I am not a wife and, since we're on summer break, I'm not a teacher either.  I spent a lot of time having a bit of an identity crisis about this when school got out, and needed something productive that I could work on- a goal for the summer.  A positive change in my life that I could work toward.  And I am so excited about what I've decided to do!

So, I am going to start "The 21-Day Fix" and clean eating on Sunday.  If you aren't familiar with the program or clean eating, Google either one... you'll find tons!  "The 21 Day Fix" is all about targeted exercise and portion control with healthy foods.  The work-outs are 30 minutes, which is SO doable for me!

I know lots of you (because I follow you on Instagram!) are doing clean eating too... I thought maybe we could link up and share menus, recipes, or tips on Fridays this summer!  I'm posting on Thursday this week to give you time to get your posts up, but will host the linky on Fridays for the next few months!

This is the menu I made for the week.  I'm following the eating plan for "The 21 Day Fix", which involves using color-coded containers for portion control.  You get to eat a certain number of each color container each day, so this plan is set up for my caloric intake.  A few of the food items aren't exactly part of the program, but most are.  I'm planning to start at 80% clean eating, but this menu is almost 100% clean!  {I had planned to start this week, but an unfortunate pogo sticking accident has left me unable to exercise!}

Check out what I'm eating, share some thoughts in the comments, and *hopefully* link up (be sure to grab the button above and link back!) to share your own menus, recipes, or fitness thoughts for others!  Let's get ripped together!

Already Planning for Next Year...

So, school's been out for 1 and a half days now... and I'm already thinking about the fall.  I'm linking up with 4th Grade Frolics to share my first "Monday Made-It" of the summer!

One of the things I am going to implement is a daily grammar review workbook.  I created a pack with 36 weeks' worth of daily grammar review for my 3rd graders.  I'm departmentalized and I think that this will be the PERFECT "entering the room and settling in" activity.  I plan to bind these into books for my kiddos and they can do the two boxes for each day right when they come in.  We can correct it and then move on with instruction!

I'm very excited!  I posted about these on my blog FB page on Saturday and got such a positive response that I made one for 2nd grade too!

If you download the preview for either pack, you can get the first three weeks for free!

Leave a comment below, sharing something new you're already thinking about for next year, and I'll send one random commenter their choice of the 2nd or 3rd grade pack later this week!  I'm planning to start working on 1st grade today!

Check them out on TpT...

Don't forget to comment to win!

LAST DAY!

Today was my last day of school!  My room is packed, the kiddos are gone, and there's nothing left to do but enjoy the summer!

When are you done?  Or are you done already?!
