I don't know if you'll see...Hi Leigh-Ann... I don't know if you'll see this and sorry it took a while for me to respond, but here's the answer to your question...

*I do not have extra copies of these books. In my classroom library, all of the books have a number on them which corresponds to the number of the basket they belong in. Once I read a book to my kids, it becomes fair game for them to read too. It goes on a shelf where the books are changed monthly to reflect holidays or seasons. None of those books are numbered, so when the librarians are putting books away, any book without a number goes back on that shelf and then I put them away later- taking back my personal teaching books and putting the holiday books away on the shelf for that too.

*So, I guess the short answer to your question is... after I read a book to the class, the kids get to borrow it too, but when it isn't a hot commodity anymore, I put it away. It is easy to distinguish because my personal books are not numbered, so the kids know to return those to me.Christina Bainbridgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16706097644672521776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4552904866848236784.post-88714546746000985462011-11-09T23:35:38.762-05:002011-11-09T23:35:38.762-05:00I am curious about the books you store in the crat...I am curious about the books you store in the crates- do you have extra copies of these in your classroom library for the students to read or do you put them into the library after you've read it to the class? I like how you sort them for lessons and it would definitely make it easier to keep up with, but I like the idea of my kids having access to these books as well. How do you handle that?Leigh-Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04619065005270145753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4552904866848236784.post-24965662475112075282011-09-02T15:54:05.446-04:002011-09-02T15:54:05.446-04:00would it be possible to see an example of each of ...would it be possible to see an example of each of your tabs for the writing?
