Getting Organized with a New & Improved Classroom Newsletter!

Last year was the first year EVER in my teaching career that I did not send home classroom newsletters.  I don't know why I didn't send them.  I wanted to!  I even started to at the beginning of the year but, after the first two, none ever went home again!  One of my goals this year is to send them home regularly.  In the past, I've done bi-weekly newsletters... the front had classroom news and the back had classroom pictures.  I'll be honest... they were pretty labor intensive and I always had to make sure to take new pics so every edition had new faces on the back.

But, this year, I've got a new newsletter template that is quick and easy!

It looks like this...
I love it!  It took me about 5 minutes to type all my info in at school this week and I already sent it home at Open House night on Wednesday!

I put together a set with 2 different "monthly themed" templates and plan to send them home each week since it seriously took me less than 10 minutes to type and print them all.  I know I can easily get it done during my lunch or planning time on Mondays!

The pack, which as 20 different newsletters that are editable in Powerpoint, is available on TpT for $5 and, even better... I'll give one away too!  Just leave a comment and I'll have hubby pick a winner tomorrow!
Find it on TpT!

  7. Very good idea...I always THINK I'm going to get organized with my newsletters, but it always ends up being a "DANGIT (or other word...)! I haven't sent a newsletter out in ___ weeks!" or a "SHOOT! We have a field trip tomorrow and I haven't reminded anyone" kind of a deal. Organization is NOT my strength--looks like YOU have a great plan! Have a great school year!

  8. I love those! I always have a hard time remembering to send home the newsletters. I try to do them each month...I don't know how people do it when they send them home weekly! I saw that these were a flash freebie, but I missed it by a few minutes, so I'm excited to have the chance to win them!

  16. Super cute! I need to try harder this year to send home work as well as newsletters. I love that this is one page, because I have to have it translated and that can go on the back!

  18. These are really great! I always have good intentions of sending home weekly newsletters and then after the first couple weeks. There always seem to be so many other items on my list that have to be completed first- lol!

    1. Love them! Short and sweet for the parents and for us!! Always sent home newsletters and then one year they fell into the too hard basket... slowly getting on top of things again but not as regularly as I should be. Keep up the great work! I love checking out your blog for inspiration :)

  35. I try to send home a weekly letter but they seem to get less and less frequent as the year goes along. My brother just gave me Office 365 and I would love to have your new simplified newsletter. Thanks for the giveaway!

  36. This is my first year to use an online blog instead of a newsletter. Our class has a set of iPads for each student. My goal by Nov is to have the students do the blogging! Wish us luck!

  37. Very cute newsletters! I had been using the editable PDFs from the mailbox but had to do it all in one sitting because they will not save. These will make life so much easier!

  38. Last year I fell off of doing newsletters. This year I'm going to try it again, but I think I am going to e-mail them out. Our school has switched to e-mail communication with parents for school-wide things, so I think I'll follow suit (except for a few kiddos whose parents don't have internet access). These templates look great and so easy!
