You should definitely try again!Christina Bainbridgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16706097644672521776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4552904866848236784.post-48897624644775393152013-07-31T20:37:44.080-04:002013-07-31T20:37:44.080-04:00When I was teaching third grade we started out doi...When I was teaching third grade we started out doing a Wax Museum. Did it for years. It was a lot of work and sometimes difficult with children who weren't interested. I was instrumental in changing us out of that routine. But after not doing it for a bit, I realize how much I miss it. It was so great seeing their creative costumes and listening to them recite their pieces. It was such a feeling of accomplishment when it was all done. Think I could get the other fourth grade teachers to give it a try?ScrappyGuyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09270943979453869119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4552904866848236784.post-11507283276862104682013-07-31T16:26:21.147-04:002013-07-31T16:26:21.147-04:00Thanks for the info on biographies!! I'm going to see if I can order them today!!!!!

I went back and read what you wrote yesterday. It is terrible that your work is being copied and resold as original. I can see why that would a more than a little upsetting. I neither sell on TpT (but I love your work and have purchased quite a bit) nor blog (yet). Your comments were educational and when I do muster the courage to start blogging they will be a guide for me.
When I first discovered teacher blogs and TpT a few months ago I joyfully downloaded a bunch of freebies as well as purchases. I left feedback for the purchases because TpT makes that simple to do. I didn't leave thank you's for all the freebies because the links back are severed when you load them into dropbox and it can be quite a process to trace them back. I checked a bunch, though, and found that ones like yours that were more straightforward to get to I had left comments for (even yours took 4 backbutton clicks after an app change then a search of your TpT store to find the item. Maybe it's easier on a computer than an ipad?).
Anyway I really wanted to just thank you for your hard work and to encouraged you to keep it up. It's appreciated by your thousands of followers. I spent some time researching biographies for younger kids at the end of the school year after a conversation with our librarian about the lack of good biographies in our library. She said they just aren't out there. I couldn't accept that, so the hunt was on! It IS hard to find them for first and second grade readers... I WAS able to find the Easy Reader Biographies set from Scholastic, a few of those you shared, and a couple more, so I put them on my list to buy this summer. I want to have a selection of reading levels and topics... My task has now been to find some good ones at this level for more current people. :0) I agree with you about the bio researching on the computer, and this is even more of a challenge for younger kids when the sites aren't always so reader friendly. Thanks so much for sharing!

Smiles,
SarahAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01337969938960077372noreply@blogger.com
