Top Three of 2011

Mrs. Smith is having a fun linky party that required me to do a little stat-digging tonight to find my top three posts of all time. My blog was born over the summer and it blows my mind that my top three posts have so many views for being so young!

So, here they are:

The first one's popularity (Christmas Party Handbook) I attribute to Pinterest. My good friend Bethany over at My Special Education has told me at our last two Thursday get-togethers that she keeps getting so excited by the e-mail notifications that someone has re-pinned one of her pins... but when she goes to see what it is, it's the party handbook that I put together with everyone's party contributions in it! Seriously? 17,000 views?! That's crazy! I hope ya'll found some fun ideas to spice up your holiday parties!

I have gotten on my soap box many times about the Daily Five on my blog, so I'm not surprised about that one being second.

And, the third of the top three about Christmas Around the World picture books... I'm gonna go out on a limb and credit Pinterest with that one too!

So, what a fun linky party and a great way to see what's hot and what's not on my blog! :)

Look for something new this week... I spent the holiday sick on the couch with the stomach flu, started taking Christmas down today (I'm a Grinch, I know) and am hoping to have my house cleaned and back in order tomorrow. BUT... then I'll be working on school stuff, blog stuff, and an announcement related to teacher resources!

Until then... link up with Mrs. Smith! I'd love to see your Top 3 too!

  1. Thank you for linking up at my linky party! I love your blog!
I am a firm believer in the Daily Five. I was a D5 trainer when I lived in Texas. My new principal asked me to focus on Math this year so our new, young team could "team" together. I miss Reading, but use a lot of the D5 in my small group Math rotation!

  6. I have to admit that I have loved your classroom website for so many years. I got so many wonderful ideas from it when I was in my undergrad classes. I am now in my first year of teaching 6th grade Language Arts on a middle school campus. I am going to be starting Daily 5 and CAFE with my kiddos this semester because I am sick of not feeling like they are getting enough in the whole group setting. I have loved reading how you use Daily 5 in your classroom. Thanks for sharing!!!

  8. So I'm sooo glad I happen to read this post today. I just checked out all your daily 5 posts and it was perfect. I've been wanting to try D5 since I started reading about it on blogs. But I wanted to read the book first. It was the first book I downloaded on my new kindle and I've been reading it since Christmas day. You answered a lot of questions I had. We use Treasures too so it was nice to read how you do it. I plan to start introducing some of this next semester and hopefully have my kids ready for it full on in first grade. I loop with my kids so I'll have them for 2 years. So thanks again and sorry for the longest comment ever.
