  2. I like the sound of this linky party- this is all new to me!

All day, every day, I randomly find myself saying, "I think you forgot something," with arms outstretched, waiting for a hug. I like to spring this on children at random moments when they don't expect it; always makes them laugh. And I usually get a smile too!

  3. Very cute. I can't think of one now, but I know that there are MANY. However I wanted to share one they always are telling me that they learned from another teacher. When I forget something or mess up they always say... "Ms. M, you've got a noodle in your brain!" Always makes me laugh.

BTW, I love your website, and just now found your blog. I'm so silly! oh there is one, I always say that and the kids love to say that too. :)

    Thanks for letting me share.

  5. I could list about 1,000, but here is a favorite. Whenever I drop something or can't find something, I say, "Oh Lyssa." It only takes a few weeks before my first graders are doing it! Tyler couldn't find his green and said, "Oh Tyler!" :)

  6. Thanks for hosting! I'm new at this, but learning SO much! I have an idea for a Linky Party, but I'm not sure I have enough followers to pull it off. Thoughts?

  7. I always say that same comment, usually attached to snacks that I eat after recess since I don't have time to snarf it down during recess! :)

Great idea for a linky party... I will comment here, since I'm not a blogger. My students alerted me to the fact that I say, "DON'T PANIC!" a lot. I wasn't aware until someone made me a sign to put on my desk. :)

  8. Well, during small group time my students know that I don't like to be disturbed when working with other children. My "go to" response is always, "If you're not doing one of the three B's then you're o.k." The the B's are barfing, broken, or bleeding. Well, I was working in small group and one of my students comes up to me for a question and my "mini me" stops him and says, "You're not barfing, broken, or bleeding so go back to your workstation." Funny!

  9. haha! Good topic. I am a tad sarcastic...so my comments are along those lines. I too pass my kids in the lunch line and when they complain tell them when they graduate from college they can pass me! I also say "geez louise" A LOT

  10. I often ask the students to support their statements from facts from their book. Students quickly learn to say, "Prove it!" This once backfired when I had a parent complain that their child was asking them to prove their opinions. It is funny to me what kids choose to listen to in class.

  11. Wow...fun stuff to read! Funny how by the end of the year there is a whole room full of mini mii's!! I have a bunch of them- "Cool beans", "I'm not asking you to marry him/her, I'm asking you to be his/her partner!" "Cheesy COW!" and my favorite to hear...."SUUUUUHHHH-WWEEEET!"

Now I'm off to one of my kiddos Angry Birds birthday party! Gonna go slingshot some pigs with them!

  12. Okay, I'm a little late to this party, but really got a kick out of your post. When a former student would deliver birthday cupcakes to our classroom, I'd always get "the look" from my class. My response was a lot like yours: "Grow up, go to college, be a teacher, get a cupcake!" Sometimes I'd overhear these dead-serious conversations afterwards about wanting to go to college for cupcakes...so funny!

  13. #2 goes to the stated website and then about 3 secs later goes to what seems to be a spam site. I tried it a couple of times.

  14. My newest teacherism is also my new favorite. I teach in a really old school with 3 floors. Of course, I'm on the top floor with preschool right under me. So, to get the kids to walk quietly up the stairs, I've taken to saying, "Okay boys and girls... remember: ninja feet walking up the stairs!" They love it and really take it seriously!
