A Midweek, Wonderful Giveaway!

It's for a prefix and suffix center set!  I tried to fit a prefix and a suffix both in the title for good measure!

When I was working on prefix and suffix activities this past weekend, I couldn't find a ton of center activities online so, I just made my own!  I'm pretty excited about how the pack turned out.

Here's a pic... if you click it, it takes you to my Teacher's Notebook Store where there are a few more images:

So, to enter to win this set, just leave a comment telling about your week... BUT... include a word that contains a prefix or a suffix!  :)

I'll choose 2 winners on Friday to each win the pack!  It has 31 pages with 4 great games for students to practice identifying prefixes and suffixes and attaching meaning to words with prefixes and suffixes.  And the graphics set is so stinkin' cute!

My word for today... painful!  I started doing the Biggest Loser cardio workout this week and my legs are KILLING me!  And a word for school for the week... eventful... two hour delay yesterday, one crazy kiddo today, field trip tomorrow.

That's it!  I am hopeful that I will get to read some comments filled with happiness!

  1. My week is hopeful as well! I have a student who's mom just agreed to testing being done so we can do our best at teaching her son! So exciteable (does that count!?) :)

  2. My week has been WONDERFUL! This week I've gotten to go and sub at the school I taught at for two years! Seeing all of my previous students just made me so happy! They were all full of happiness and questions as to where I've been. They all thought I had retired! LOL! I told them I was to young to be retired! :)

  9. My word for tonight….precook! I’m cooking a frozen, precooked pizza for dinner tonight because I can’t muster enough energy to make a decent meal. A word to describe my class today…unruly! Are anyone else’s kids a little crazed this week? I still adore them but I’m sleepier than ever!

  14. Seeing this EXTRAordinary post just made my not so fabulous day! We were suppose to learn about prefixes the last two weeks and begin suffixes for the next two weeks. Without textbookS, technology(smart board), or picture bookS sums up how I feel: I AM AN UNhappy teacher. I have looked everywhere online for first grade friendLY activities/ect., but they are far and few between! Not one student knew what a prefix was today, so I guess I am back to square one! Mrs. Bainbridge, I desperateLY need your ideas to REteach these conceptS! It would be oh so helpFUL!
This week is super stressFUL because we were told last week to have running records completED on each student by 1/20 aka FRIDAY. I am a HOT Mess and only have parent volunteers the next two days for one hour at a time! I don't want to DISappoint my principal! Time to be flexible with lessons!

P.S. good luck with your workouts (:

  15. Yay...awesome. I am laughing at Karen's comments...haha!! I had a small mishap this week when my spirited 4 year old jumped in the bed with me and asked if I wanted to snuggle. The problem? It was 7:30 a.m.....15 minutes after I would have usually left for school!!!! So, my day was far from uneventful!! I got dressed in 10 minutes and was out the door. :)
