I Need a New Teacher Bag, What I'm Reading, and Need a Volunteer!

Ok, bloggy friends, I need your help!

I need a new teacher bag.

Mine is old and just not cute!

What kind of bag do you have?  Where can I get one?  What do you love about it?

HELP!

AND... I've just made my first post over at The Best Endings!  I just finished the Gemma Doyle trilogy and I'd love for you to check out the post and see if it's something you'd like to read too!

I'm very needy today... I need you to help me choose a bag, need you to read Gemma so we can talk about it... well, now I need someone who uses "Treasures" to look over a file for me for spelling.  I'd love a 1st and a 2nd grade teacher.  If you'll look over a file for me and provide LOTS of feedback, let me know.  I'll take the first few volunteers and, when the file is done (it's just a skeleton now), I'll send it to ya for free!  Leave me your e-mail address please!

  1. You should get a 31 bag! They rock and so many cute fabrics :) You can even get your name embroidered on them.

  3. OK Christina, first I have to say that I love your blog. You have saved me so many times with your wonderful ideas, so thank you! Next, I have the perfect bag for you! It's called the Cindy Tote from Thirty-One Gifts. I have been carrying one since the beginning of the year and I love it!! It holds all of my teacher supplies, zips closed (I keep mine open most of the time) and it has two side pockets perfect for an umbrella and a bottle of water. I know some teachers carry the Organizing Utility Tote, from Thirty-One also, which has 7 outside pockets and 2 large handles. Both of these come in a variety of colors. I'd love to help you out because I just became a Thirty-One consultant about a month ago. If you'd like to hear more information about the bags, please let me know. Thanks!

  12. Wow, as a guy teacher I didn't know the "teacher bag" was so serious. I just throw stuff in my rolling crate (wonderful invention) and keep it moving. I like backpacks, but I don't carry anything. Just my rolling crate.

  13. I'm all for 31 bags as well. I bought the Toteally awesome tote just about a month or so ago for my honeymoon. I had embroidered with Mrs. B on it so I'd have my new initial. I know I probably shouldn't be using it already but I am and I love it. I can put everything in it. Sounds like you have plenty of of readers but if you need one more I'd love to. I am in kindergarten this year but next year I'll be in first and have been before. We use Treasures.

  21. If you're looking for a non-31 bag, I LOVE my tote from Land's End. It's personalized, in great colors, and they hold up SO well. My mom has had one for YEARS. You can just throw them in the wash and they come out so well. And if not, they have a terrific warranty too! So worth it!

The teacher bag I like is the organized utility tote from 31. It is large enough to expand, holds file folders perfectly, and has all these little pockets to put things.

  27. well, i unofficially have 4 teacher bags, but the one i like best is my HUGE reusable damask pattern bag from Michaels. $4 and it holds e-ver-y-thing and it was only $4. It is almost identical to another top selling brand's $20 bag...here's a link to what it looks like

  28. I have TONS of teacher bags but my favorite one is actually a market tote that a parent gave me two years ago. I love that the bottom is flat so my papers don't get all messed up. It is also nice that I can't carry a ton of stuff because it all has to be held up by my elbow pit. It even fits my large teacher manuals when I have to take them home. I love it so much that I bought another one from 31 so that it won't get worn out so fast! :)

  29. I LOVE my 31 bag. I use to carry a zillion bags. I consolidated to a giant utility bag from them. I love it because it is durable and stays standing up, plus it fit perfectly under my desk. Did I mention it's gigantic and I don't need to carry a zillion bags anymore.

  39. I'm going to branch out here and suggest the LL Bean Boat and Tote bag. I have the medium size with extra long handles and a zip top. I have been using this bag for SIX years and besides the fact that I probably need to wash it again, it's hardly showing any wear and tear. And boy have I tried. Great, durable, classic bag!

  40. Responded to your post on Gemma Doyle. She is a great character. I enjoyed the trilogy, but the first one was my favorite. I liked it because it wasn't just paranormal or fantasy. It definitely has a lot of mystery to it as well. I love Fantasy and Historical Fiction with strong and intereting female characters. And for bags I love Vera Bradley.

  42. I guess I'm going to have to try a 31 Bag too. I have been carrying a purple Jansport backpack this year. I found it over the summer when I moved. It's time I find something more stylish. I already have 2 of the 31 lunch totes so why not get a bigger bag.

  43. I'm totally known as 'the bag lady.' But, my favorite for toting teacher stuff is my Vera Bradley Miller bag. It holds LOTS and has lots of pockets too! Try one - you'll love it!
